Government Affairs Update
With the General Assembly in its busiest session period, OHLA is actively engaged in key provisions of the state’s biennial budget (House Bill 96), advocating for tax abatements, expanded film tax credits, increased TourismOhio funding, and more. Additional updates cover short-term rental regulations, juvenile justice proposals, and local crime issues—including a concerning rise in hotel break-ins in Columbus, where nearly 300 guest comments and $1 million in losses were reported since mid-2024.
